VillageNeed helps you find equipment, workers and services near your village, ask your neighbours for help, follow village news and events, and report local problems. In your language, and by voice.
In every village, help is close by. A neighbour has a tractor, someone knows a good electrician, and someone is going to town tomorrow. But finding the right person often means asking around for days. VillageNeed brings all of this into one app, so the help your village already has is easy to find.
Find help nearby
Search for what you need, a name or your village. You can find:
- Equipment such as tractors, harvesters and tools on hire
- Workers for farm labour and daily help
- Services such as plumbers, electricians, repairs, transport, agriculture inputs, dealers and shops
Call a provider with one tap or send a message. If nobody in your village offers what you need, widen the search to your mandal, your district or a distance around you.
Ask for what you need
Post what you need, when and where. You can type it or simply say it. Local providers see your request, and one of them can take it on.
Help requests and going to town
Need something from town? Ask people nearby for help, and a neighbour who is going can bring it back. Going to town yourself? Let others know, so you can help them on the same trip.
Report a problem
A broken road, a streetlight that is out, or a water or drainage problem? Report it with a photo. Neighbours can say they are also affected, and everyone can follow what happens until it is fixed. VillageNeed is not an official government complaint system.
Village news and events
Read local news from your village and mandal, with links to your newspapers. See village board notices and lost and found, and join events with RSVP, a schedule and shared costs. You can also see what is happening near your current location.
More than one village
Follow your native village or your parentsâ village too, and switch between them with one tap.
In your language
VillageNeed works in English and 22 Indian languages. You can speak instead of typing in any field.
Safe and local
You can report or block anyone. Your phone number is shared only when you choose, and you can delete your account at any time.
